Servo motor using new Power electronic semiconductor devices
Currently, servo control system output devices are increasingly adopting a new type of high frequency switching power semiconductor devices; they are mainly high-power transistor (GTR), power FET (MOSFET) and insulated gate transistor (IGPT) and so on. The application of these advanced devices significantly reduces the power consumption of the servo unit of output circuit, and to improve the system response speed and reduce the operating noise. Especially noteworthy is that the latest model of servo motor controls systems have started to use a circuit to control the functions and power electronic switching devices to integrate to the new module, which is called the intelligent control power module (Intelligent Power Modules, referred to as IPM). The device will integrate the isolation, dynamic braking, over temperature, over voltage, over current protection and fault diagnosis function into a small modules. The input signal logic level compatible with TTL, and the output can directly interface to the microprocessor. Its application significantly the design of servo motor and realize the implementation of the servo system of small and micro.
