My Friend, Sarah
Sarah was one of my best friends. She was the eldest daughter in her family. She said that she did not want to waste her parents’ money and wanted to be independent when he finished the secondary school, so she went out and took a job as a secretary in a villa soon after. She rode her motorized bicycle to work every day. She was a girl of being sensitive about her reputation. I heard that she was very diligent and worked very hard after she got the job. She was the first person arriving at the villa and the last person leaving it every day. I asked her why she went off work so late one day when I saw her riding the electric bicycle, she told me that she wanted to get promoted in the company and the manager had promised her if she made persistent efforts. She was rather self-confident when she told me about it. Her voice was far louder than the noises of the electric brushless motors in the streets. I admired her and her courage very much. At least, she was more active towards life than me.
