The main structure of dc motor
The rotation motor with the definition of output or input is direct current named the DC motor, it is a kind of motor can achieve current energy and mechanical energy DC electrical motor interchangeable. When it used for motor it was regarded as dc motor, which will convert electrical energy to mechanical energy; when use for generator, it is dc generator which convert the mechanical energy into electricity energy.
The structure of DC motor should be composed of stator and rotor two parts. When DC brush motor running, the stationary part is called the stator, and the main function of stator role is to produce magnetic field. Naturally, the rotating part of the runtime is called the rotor, and its main role is to generate the electromagnetic torque and induced electromotive force, it is called the armature because it is the hub of energy conversion.
