What is stepper motor?
Stepper motor is a kind of implementing agency that transforms electrical pulses into angular displacement. It means that when the stepper driver receives a pulse signal, it will drive stepper motor to set the direction of rotation at a fixed angle (and the step angle). You can control the number of pulses to control the angular displacement, so as to achieve the purposes of accurate positioning; at the same time you can control the pulse frequency to control the motor rotation speed and acceleration, to achieve the purposes of speed control.
Stepper motor can be divided into permanent magnet (PM) brushless motor, reactive (VR) brushless motor and hybrid (HB) motor, Permanent magnet stepper motor usually is two-phase, and the torque and size are smaller. Usually the degree step angle is 7.5 or 15 degrees; however reaction step is generally three-phase.
